It was my 21st birthday, a milestone that demanded an epic celebration. So, I gathered my crew – Harvey, Kai, Deacon, and Wyatt – and we kicked off the night at Harvey's chosen steakhouse. Those steaks were on another level – juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked. Even though the bill hit us pretty hard, the night was just getting started. Around 9 pm, we hit our favorite bar, sat at our usual spot, and ordered two beer towers that we somehow finished in no time. Tequila shots followed, and at that point, the night felt very hazy. Before I knew it, we were on our way to the club.
Chapter 1
It was my 21st birthday, a milestone that demanded an epic celebration.
So, I gathered my crew – Harvey, Kai, Deacon, and Wyatt – and we kicked
off the night at Harvey’s chosen steakhouse. Those steaks were on another
level – juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked. Even though the bill hit us pretty
hard, the night was just getting started. Around 9 pm, we hit our favorite
bar, sat at our usual spot, and ordered two beer towers that we somehow
finished in no time. Tequila shots followed, and at that point, the night felt
very hazy. Before I knew it, we were on our way to the club.
By around 11 pm, we stumbled into the nightclub. The drinks kept
flowing, shot after shot, with a whole crowd of people chanting “Sip sip
sip!” I was so wasted that every moment felt like it went by in the blink of
an eye. But that didn’t stop me from drinking. My body felt warm and
numb, and I often found myself lying on the floor. My mouth filled with
saliva. Knowing what was about to come, I rushed to the bathroom, and
now I find myself with my face in the toilet, staring at half-digested pieces
of steak. Shortly after, a throbbing headache kicked in, and my stomach
wasn’t doing too well either. I left the bathroom and made my way back to
my friends. They told me about an after-party at a bar not far from the
club. Drunkenly mumbling that I had to go home because I wasn’t doing
well, I blacked out again. All I could remember was an empty void full of
lost memories.
Chapter 2
Next thing I knew, I woke up alone in the quiet eeriness of an unfamiliar
forest. I wanted to call for help, I reached for my phone but it was dead,
and then I started panicking. Confused and freaked out, I got up from the
ground.

Trying to make sense of this mysterious forest, I stumbled upon a bright
blue light in the distance. Some otherworldly feeling drew me closer to it.

As I reached the source of this mysterious light, I saw two boulders,
glowing in the dark like something out of a sci-fi movie. They whispered to
me, inviting me to touch them. So, I did. I reached out, and the light
blinded me.

I was out cold. In that unconscious state, it felt like I was dreaming, replaying the night’s madness. But when I woke up, I was still in the forest, only now it was daytime. There it was, a massive blue-greyish Mountain in the distance, with patches of green moss like those boulders. Reality hit me – that “mountain” was the same boulder I touched the night before.

Chapter 3
Thinking I was still dreaming, I pinched myself as hard as I could. Once I
realized everything was real, panic set in. My heart was pounding, and I
felt like I couldn’t breathe. After a few abnormally long minutes, I gathered
my thoughts. The most logical thing, I thought, was that I was shrunk by
those glowing rocks. It felt as if I was teleported to a whole new world. It
didn’t feel like a forest anymore. As tall as a leaf, stranded in a giant forest,
I had to find shelter immediately. Rain seemed imminent, and a raindrop
falling on my head at this size could be fatal. After observing my
surroundings, I noticed a fallen tree close to the stump it fell from.

The decaying stump had crooks where I could hide for the night. After about an hour of hiking, I reached the tree. It was big, with moss making it easier to climb. Gripping the moss firmly, I pulled myself up the trunk. It wasn’t easy, but after lots of sweat and tears, I made it to the top. Now, I had to get up to the stump without falling. Kneeling down, I crawled slowly up the slippery trunk.
Chapter 4
Once I made it to the decaying stump, it was night and raining. I sat down and tried to fall asleep, but I couldn’t. I felt all alone, in an unknown world, with no way out or knowledge of what to do because no one taught me that. Being alone gave me time to reminisce about my life. I realized I had wasted most of my years doing nothing. I barely graduated high school at 18, failing all my classes, and then did nothing until I turned 21. My family was disappointed because I never amounted to anything. Now, I’ll never be able to make amends because I’m stuck in this forsaken world just because I wanted to get blacked out drunk for a night. I had no idea how to be an adult; no one ever taught me that, just like I had no idea how to survive in an unknown world. After my inner rant, I started sobbing, feeling desperate, scared, alone, and helpless. I felt like I’d never make it back to my world. After a while of crying, I

Chapter 5
I woke up to a sort of whisper, similar to the rocks that led me to where I am now. But this time, the whisper felt like it was trying to tell me something, to guide me somewhere. I followed the whispering voice, got down the stump, and it led me to a path. I kept following this whisper all the way up the path, feeling like I found my way back to my world. As I got closer to the source of this voice, it became
more clear – “you’re almost there, don’t give up now.” The voice spoke directly to me, and despite feeling like I was going crazy, I kept going. After hours of hiking, I saw the source – a huge tree. At the base, the roots formed a cave with a blue light shining out. The voice said, “you made it, you can go home now.” I entered the mysterious tree, and everything went blank. I woke up on the forest floor, back in my world, with memories as vivid as ever. The blue lights, whispers, and boulders felt like a dream, yet the lessons were real. Standing amid the familiar trees, a new determination flowed within me. The universe had offered me a chance, and I wouldn’t waste it.
